Goal:

The goal was to create a Netflix/HBOmax type title sequence for a new show that would set the tone and establish the visual style of the series. I decided to use Cinema 4D and After Effects to create the sequence, as these tools would allow me to create a dynamic and visually rich animation that would capture the audience's attention.

The research phase began with a study of existing title sequences for similar shows, as well as research on the theme, tone, and style of the Sigma. Through this research, I developed a clear understanding of what the show's aesthetic and what elements would be necessary to capture the audience's attention and set the tone for the series.

Conceptualization

I then set out to creating detailed storyboards and animatics to explore different animation styles and layouts. I also conducted user testing and gathered feedback from a focus group to ensure that the sequence would be engaging and evoke the a minimalistic sci fi tone.

Animation

With the design finalized, I began the animation process using Cinema 4D. I created 3D assets, such as the characters and environments, and animated them to create a dynamic and visually rich animation. I also used After Effects to add visual effects and compositing to the sequence, such as depth of field and color correction, to enhance the overall look and feel of the animation.

Final

I developed a clear understanding of what the show's aesthetic and what elements would be necessary to capture the audience's attention and set the tone for the series.
