Goal

The design team's goal was to create a mobile app that would allow teens in the Middle East to track and share their sports and activity progress, while also providing a safe and secure platform for them to connect with friends and coaches. The team decided to use blockchain technology to build the app because of its inherent security and decentralization properties.

Research

The research phase began with a thorough analysis of the current sports and activity tracking apps on the market, as well as research on the sports and activity habits of teens in the Middle East. Through this research, the team discovered that teens in the region were highly engaged in sports and physical activity but that few apps met their specific needs and cultural requirements.

Design

The use of blockchain technology to secure and decentralize the data on the app is vital, making it accessible to users without the need for a central authority. This also ensures that the data is tamper-proof, and it also allows users to have full control over their data and share it with others, such as coaches and friends if they choose.

The concept was based on a user-centred design for the app, creating detailed user personas and user journeys to understand the specific needs and pain points of their target audience. There was also user testing and feedback from teens and older youth raised in the Middle East to ensure that the app would be relevant and useful to them.

Features such as social sharing, gamification, and rewards encourage engagement and motivate users to continue tracking their sports and activity progress. The app was also designed to be highly customizable, allowing users to personalize their profiles and settings to match their preferences.
